Bloom the Saffron
To unlock saffron’s full aroma, colour, and flavour, gently bloom it before use.
Crush a small pinch of Noble Saffron threads between your fingers or with a mortar. Add them to 2–3 tablespoons of warm (not boiling) water, milk, or stock. Allow the saffron to steep for 10–15 minutes until the liquid turns a rich golden hue. This process releases the precious compounds that give saffron its distinctive depth and fragrance.
Tip: Never add dry saffron directly to dishes—blooming ensures maximum potency and value.
Cook with Precision
A little saffron goes a long way. Just 5–8 threads are sufficient for most dishes serving 2–4 people.
Add the bloomed saffron and its liquid during the final stages of cooking to preserve its delicate aroma. Noble Saffron pairs beautifully with rice dishes, stews, seafood, chicken, desserts, and warm beverages such as saffron tea or milk.
Recommended uses:
Pilaf, biryani, paella, risotto, curries, custards, cakes, and herbal infusions.
Store with Care
Saffron is a sensitive spice and must be stored correctly to maintain its quality.
Keep Noble Saffron in its original airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. Store in a cool, dark place such as a cupboard or pantry. When stored properly, saffron retains its potency, colour, and aroma for years.
Quality promise: Noble Saffron is 100% pure Afghan saffron—no additives, no colouring, no fillers.
